Chainbreaker's Rough Draft is Now Completed

Wow, it's been a ridiculously long time since I last posted on this blog. Interestingly, my last post on this blog was regarding my acquisition of a new job, so I'm sure you can imagine why I haven't had time to write anything, here. Hopefully, I can pick back up fairly soon.

Thankfully, I have a little something to make it up to all of you: Chainbreaker (my new name for the novel I've been working so hard on) is finally in the second draft phase. I finished the first draft this week, so now it's time for the joyous task of thoroughly editing the work. While I'm doing that, I'll likely be paying visits to a number of different coffee shops, so perhaps I'll be able to get some posts in about that.

I already have tentative cover art that I'll be using for the beta reader and review copies that are being sent to friends once the second draft is finished (see below). I also have a short summary of the novel (a back-of-book description) that should help when it comes time to pitch the book.

Apart from the back of book summary, I don't have much of note to share about the novel, other than that I am quite proud of this accomplishment. Often when I finish a book, it never sees the light of day because I simply can't bring myself to be proud of what I've just done. With Chainbreaker, things are different. I think this is the big one.

I hope you're as excited about Chainbreaker as I am! I'll keep you posted as I progress through the novel. Feel free to check out the artwork, summary, and statistics below.

Imperfects -- those with mental or physical disabilities -- are rounded up and enslaved or executed by the sole remaining empire. The rebellion that tried to end this oppressive regime has failed.

Despite the rebellion's failure, there are still those who believe that the empire will fall. Those few believers continue to work toward that goal, blind to more sinister games.

Horrible experiments are being conducted on altered humans in an offshore facility, a vicious plague has arrived on the shores of the Twin Continents, and the woman controlling the empire may not be what she seems. It is time to seek truth. It is time to break the chains of deceit.
